Maxline Brewing Company's Irish Red won the Coloradoan's best beer competition. The Irish Red garnered nearly 74% of the votes in the final round against Prost's Dunkel. The Coloradoan partnered with local businesses to promote the competition. Pour one out for the competition, one beer in Fort Collins stands alone. In the first-ever 64-beer bracket, Maxline Brewing Company walked away as champions after its Irish Red claimed the Coloradoan's voter-chosen title of best Fort Collins beer.

Fort Collins Police are investigating a shooting at Foothills Mall in Midtown Fort Collins that resulted in two gunshot wound victims who were transported to a local hospital Saturday. The condition of the victims is unknown at this time. The shooting occurred at approximately 5 p.m., according to a Fort Collins Police post on X. The shooting happened on a sidewalk outside the mall. There has been no arrest and the suspect is still at large, according to Fort Collins Police Services.
