After winning the FCIAC Tournament on May 29th, Greenwich High School’s varsity girls tennis team began its journey toward what it hopes, is another title, when it hosted Glastonbury High School on June 1st in the opening round of the CIAC Class LL Tournament. And the defending Class LL state champion Cardinals certainly showed that they’re primed to travel to their final destination.

Greenwich High School senior Ally Bauer made her final appearance at the FCIAC Girls Golf Championship one to remember. Bauer earned medalist honors at the competitive FCIAC Golf Championship, shooting a 4-over-par 74 at Country Club of Fairfield on May 29. Bauer, who had the best score out of the more than 30 golfers competing in the conference tournament, shot a 39 on the front nine and a 35 on the back nine on her way to carding her impressive round of 4-over 70 for the Cardinals.

Brunswick School Brunswick’s School’s 1st Varsity Eight registered a strong ninth place finish at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championship Regatta at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts, recently. The Bruins’ second Varsity Eight crew also posted a solid finish, placing 10th in their race at the NEIRA Championship Regatta. Brunswick’s third Varsity Eight missed out on the finals after finishing outside the top three in their morning heat.

Greenwich High The first postseason tournament of the 2025 season ended exactly how the Greenwich High School varsity girls tennis team wanted it to conclude: with the FCIAC Tournament championship plaque in their possession. Capturing the one title that eluded them in 2024, the Cardinals achieved their first postseason goal of the season, winning the FCIAC Tournament championship, while continuing their spring of perfection.
