I'll never forget the late Peter Gomes, who was Plummer Professor of Christian Morals at Harvard Divinity School and Pusey Minister at Harvard's Memorial Church, saying once something to the effectg that he found it easier to come out as gay than he did as Republican. I've always liked that. I have found in my life that it was much easier to come out as gay than as a non-religious person (even though I was a religious professional for much of my adult life, and still teach biblical studies).

Robert and I were classmates in both Junior High (that's what it was called back then) and High School. Our ways parted after high school graduation and I didn't see him until several years ago when I had drinks with him and another classmate before a Barbra Streisand concert. He loved Barbra!All three of us were gay; two of us still are. I'm told he had a rough time in high school, though I wasn't aware of it at the time. He was among a group which some of the other students made fun of, I think.

“There has been controversy for several decades regarding whether the antibiotics called macrolides - which include azithromycin - can decrease the rates of chronic lung disease in premature babies. “Several much smaller trials have tried to establish whether antibiotics like azithromycin would be helpful in decreasing the rates of chronic lung disease, and these trials have shown conflicting results.
