    It appears that online rumors of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents carrying out raids at Fremont-area workplaces today are simply that — rumors. A post made on the Telemundo Nebraska Facebook page on Tuesday night said they had “received information about rumors of a possible ICE RAID IN FREMONT for tomorrow,” but also pointed out that the information received could not be verified.

    Fremont residents who have recently taken to social media to voice their displeasure at the disheveled state of the empty lot at the corner of North Main Street and East Military Avenue will be pleased to know that the future site of both RVR Bank and the Fremont Police Department will be getting a much-needed trim in the near future. “We have it scheduled to be mowed on a somewhat regular basis,” City Administrator Jody Sanders said.
