Each blood donor received two tickets to a select 2025 New York Mets home game. The MTA Metro-North Railroad has been a longtime supporter and partner of NYBC, hosting blood drives every year and collecting a total of 3,600 donations over more than a decade.

    BROOKLYN, NY — Mayor Eric Adams has proposed a plan to build a high-rise apartment tower that would be the second-tallest building in Brooklyn, according to multiple media reports. Adams announced the plan at a forum sponsored by The Real Deal on Wednesday. It would turn an existing building at 395 Flatbush Avenue Extension into a 840-foot-tallhigh-rise residential tower. If developed, the site would fall just behind of the Brooklyn Tower, which is 1,066-feet-tall.

    NEW YORK CITY — A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with three arson incidents at a Brooklyn apartment complex, officials announced on Friday. Unique Cherry has been charged with multiple counts of arson, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, police said. The 29-year-old was arrested on Tuesday after being named a suspect in a Jan. 26 fire at 1430 Bergen St. Fire Marshals concluded there had 12 separate and distinct fires in the apartment.
