NEW YORK CITY — A New York City nanny accused of assaulting three children she was babysitting last month has been arrested, police announced Wednesday. La’Keysha Jackson, 24, has been charged with two counts of assault in the second degree and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The abuse was caught on video, according to police and multiple media reports.

NEW YORK CITY — The NYPD have identified and released photos of a suspect sought for allegedly setting fire to 11 NYPD vehicles last week. Jakhi Lodgson-McCray is wanted in connection with the June 12 incident, police announced Wednesday. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, green pants, and a blue face mask. The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at a parking lot on the intersection of Central and DeKalb avenues near the 83rd Precinct station house, Patch previously reported.

NEW YORK CITY — A 30-year-old man has been indicted for brutally attacking a woman while she rode her bike in Randall's Island last month, prosecutors said. Miguel Jiraud has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree, attempted murder in the second Degree, robbery and assault, prosecutors announced Wednesday. On May 16, a 44-year-old woman left work at a museum in Harlem and began riding her e-bike home to Queens.

NEW YORK CITY — Zohran Mamdani has continued to gain momentum and cut into Andrew Cuomo's lead in the Democratic mayoral primary, according to a new Marist College poll released on Wednesday. Mamdani has cut Cuomo's lead nearly in half from just a month ago by garnering more progressives and Latino voters, according to Marist. After seven rounds of ranked-choice voting contest, Cuomo is still the expected frontrunner with 55 percent to 45 percent against Mamdani.

NEW YORK CITY — A 37-year-old man has been charged and arraigned after he slashed multiple court officers at a Manhattan courthouse on Monday, prosecutors said. Jonathan Wohl has been charged with attempted murder, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer and assault, prosecutors said. The incident happened at 100 Centre Street around 9:45 a.m., police said. The officers were attacked in the lobby of the building as they were monitoring the metal detectors and working security detail.
