The City Council will likely vote this month on a major rezoning request. A critical vote to clear the path for Raleigh's sports and entertainment district around the Lenovo Center is likely less than two weeks away. The City Council on Tuesday evening held off on voting to rezone the more than 80-acre site around the arena to allow for a mixed-use district with buildings up to 40 stories.

The former bedroom community to Raleigh has blossomed into a vibrant town that's growing at a rapid pace. With a solid mix of large corporations with local operations and a median household income around $130,000, Cary is a very attractive place for professionals and families, young and old, looking to relocate.
