Duke Health is expanding its footprint after closing a $284 million deal to acquire a hospital in the Charlotte region. The health system based in Durham acquired Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville from a subsidiary of Community Health Systems (NYSE: CYH). The deal is part of Duke Health's broader growth plans across North Carolina.
