DANVILLE — Four years after its grand reopening, only to have a crushing pandemic come along a few months later, the Fischer Theatre in Danville has gotten a boost from the state. The Vermilion Heritage Foundation recently received a $245,000 Back to Business grant for the historic theater, and the money is going to help to book more shows further in advance, according to Fischer Theatre Executive Director Jason Rome.
