The preparatory and boarding school announced yesterday that it received a $60 million donation from an anonymous alumna.

UPDATE (4:30 p.m.): An experimental aircraft crashed on Monday, killing a pilot at a south Alabama airport. During a press conference officials said the gyrocopter crash happened around 1:30 p.m. today. The pilot, whose name has not been released, is reportedly 67 years old and routinely flew in and out of the airport. Officials and witnesses said that before the crash the pilot had been flying around and had come in and refueled before flying low above the runway.

(WKRG) — An alcohol-fueled argument over driving drunk led to the shooting that landed a Foley man in jail and charged with murder in the death of his friend of 30 years, according to investigators.
