UPDATE (4:30 p.m.): An experimental aircraft crashed on Monday, killing a pilot at a south Alabama airport. During a press conference officials said the gyrocopter crash happened around 1:30 p.m. today. The pilot, whose name has not been released, is reportedly 67 years old and routinely flew in and out of the airport. Officials and witnesses said that before the crash the pilot had been flying around and had come in and refueled before flying low above the runway.

UPDATE (2:50 p.m.): Foley officials confirmed that one person was killed in a Monday afternoon helicopter crash. Fire Chief Joey Darby is scheduled to make a statement and provide more information. LILLIAN, Ala. (WKRG) — A boat is now at the bottom of Perdido Bay following a fire on Tuesday, News 5 has learned. Multiple fire departments responded to Perdido Bay at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday after a Mississippi man called 911 to report a big black plume of smoke coming from a boat about 500 yards off the Lillian Boat Launch. The witness said he saw flames arise moments later. WKRG News 5 learned that the boater, who is from Lillian, anchored his boat and jumped into the bay when the fire started.

DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — The pool on Montclair Loop in Lake Forest is usually a meeting place for fun in the sun. Early Friday morning, it was anything but as two groups of teenagers met up to settle an argument that started on Snapchat. “It’s really extremely middle schoolish,” says Daphne Police Chief Brian Gulsby. “It’s one making fun of another’s friend was how it started.”A group of teens from Fairhope and another from Daphne picked the pool as a meeting place.
