INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Zoo welcomed a baby orangutan and asked Hoosiers to name the baby. With more than 9,000 votes, the name 'Edi' is now the baby's name. Edi means "the handsome one", and garnered 50% of the ballots. 'Ketambe' received 38% of the votes and 'Lada' earned 12% of the votes, respectively. Edi was born at the Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center on February 20 to his mother, Sirih, and his father, Basan.

MUNCIE, Ind. - A Minnesota man was allegedly killed in Muncie by a minor after he confronted the juvenile about reported threats made to a woman that he had met online two months ago.
