NASHVILLE, Ind. - A man is in jail after he reportedly attacked a child at McDonald's in Nashville, according to the Nashville Police Department. Justin Gadson was preliminarily charged with battery against a person less than 14, and criminal confinement. Officers were dispatched to a McDonald's restaurant at 501 St. Road E in Nashville on Friday on a report of an attempted child abduction. Emergency crews arrived and located the suspect nearby.

INDIANAPOLIS - One child was pronounced dead after a fire in Rush County, according to the Rush County Sheriff's Office. Officers were dispatched on Thursday at approximately 2 p.m. on a report of a house fire located in the 2000 block of North County Rd. 700 W in Arlington. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a home fully engulfed in flames and learned that a small child was inside. The child was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rush County Coroner's Office.

INDIANAPOLIS - An individual was shot on the east side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of N Shadeland Avenue on a report of a person shot at approximately 6:19 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, officers located a victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The victim is reported to be in critical condition. This is an active investigation. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

INDIANAPOLIS - Multiple individuals were forced to evacuate their apartment complex after a fire, according to the Indianapolis Fire Department. Crews were dispatched on Thursday at 12:43 p.m. to 225 E North St at the Riley Towers building 1 on a report of a fire alarm. Upon arrival to the 30 story structure, residents were evacuating and told firefighters that there was smoke on the 14th floor.
