(FOX40.COM) — Construction crews are making good progress rebuilding the On Broadway housing development at 19th Street and Broadway in Sacramento, which was badly damaged in a fire last year. The development features two five-story buildings, which will offer 140 units of affordable apartments for income-qualifying renters. One of the two buildings burned to the ground while under construction on March 26, 2024. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.

A Placer County man is sharing his personal story of recovery from severe suicidal depression. David Bartley found relief in a treatment that is often misunderstood. It’s called ECT, or electroconvulsive therapy, and it is FDA-approved. The therapy is misunderstood largely because of pop culture depictions, like the shock treatment scene in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” But modern-day ECT is not like that.

Fire crews in Fairfield did a great job preventing a grass fire from burning homes. It’ll be a great day for local car washes as well. Lotta cars doused with fire retardant. https://t.co/scZTDKXBxU

Can't help but wonder what impact newly-announced steel tariffs will have on this project. Maybe build it with plastic. That would make it much more... Fisher price.🥁 https://t.co/J4k8cZoJtP

Sad to hear of the passing of longtime Sacramento news anchor Stan Atkinson. I had the honor of working with him early in my career. He was the truest of true professionals. Always kind. Always. Whether you were an intern or an anchor, he treated you with the same respect. https://t.co/33RUA9cHu9
