Census data shows that Stamford has ballooned to be Connecticut’s second largest city after its development boom, something officials are quick to point out at every opportunity. In fact, 40 percent of Connecticut’s growth between 2010 and 2020 is attributable to population increases in Stamford alone.

Early voting for the Nov. 5 election is underway in Connecticut, marking the first time residents will be able to vote early in a presidential election. Early voting runs for 14 days, from Oct. 21 through Nov. 3. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Oct. 29 and 31, when voting runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.Each town in the state has at least one location where voters can show up and cast their ballot in advance of Election Day.

In 2022, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark used the phrase "open for business" when discussing his conference's plans for expansion. Two years later, will the Big 12 be open to adding UConn in another round of expansion for the now 16-team conference? Big 12 presidents were briefed Monday but did not take action on the Huskies' bid, CBS Sports reported Monday. It would take a minimum of 12 out of the 16 conference presidents to approve bringing in UConn.
