Heavier rainfall is anticipated overnight into early Thursday morning with the most accumulation expected. By Friday afternoon, showers move out of the Coastal Bend and taper off to the northeast. 1:29 p.m. update - Majority of our neighborhoods are now under a Flood Watch through Friday noon.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — We are wrapping up the weekend here in the Coastal Bend with warm temperatures and gusty winds. Throughout the week, warm conditions continue ahead of our next cold front, followed by rain. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWIncreasing cloud cover of the weekend and southeasterly winds allowed more moisture in the atmosphere. This helped with our dangerously dry conditions we've been seeing the past few weeks leading to fire danger weather.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWMajority of the windy conditions wrap up by Sunday, but wind gusts will generally range up to 25 mph through the week. For the rest of the weekend, our highs will be in the low to mid 80s, and lows in the mid to upper 60s. Our next cold front pushes through Thursday, dropping our high temperatures to more seasonal values in the mid to upper 70s.
