Morristown West has run District 2-4A since Briony Bunsic entered the program. Morristown East flipped the script on Friday night, scoring all nine of its runs in a 9-3 win over the Lady Trojans to take the district crown for the first time since 2021. After being shut out on Thursday night with a chance to clinch the title, the Lady ‘Canes wasted no time putting runs on the board with all nine in the first three innings.

One of the old guard has retired, a new type of inpatient treatment facility will be allowed in the office medical and professional district in Morristown and drivers on the north end of Walters Drive are set to be driving in circles after the Morristown City Council met on Tuesday evening. Captain Charles “Chuck” Letterman has retired after decades of service with the Morristown Police Department.

A little rain and a lot of music hit downtown Morristown at the Morristown Bluegrass Festival on Saturday.
