I LOVE tahini! This cake is super moist - as if your favourite boxed cake got a major upgrade. Method: Make the crumble: Combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix until well blended. Add the butter and, using your fingers, work the butter into the flour mixture until large clumps form. Add the tahini and vanilla and stir with a spoon until incorporated. Add the crumbled halva, stirring to combine, and refrigerate. Make the cake: Preheat oven to 180°C.

Step 1Heat ¾ cup whole milk in a small saucepan over medium-low until lukewarm (an instant-read thermometer should register 110-115°), about 2 minutes. Pour milk into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, add one ¼-oz. packet active dry yeast (about 2¼ tsp.) and stir to combine. Let sit until foamy, 8-10 minutes. These buns are a hybrid of two holiday-ready favorites: Parker House rolls and milk bread buns. The former, invented about 150 years ago at Boston's Parker House Hotel, feature a folded-over shape and lots of melted butter. The latter relies on a tangzhong starter to create their characteristic pillowy texture.
