    EL PASO, Texas - Trenton Brooks hit a high home run over the right field fence in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday to give the El Paso Chihuahuas a 7-6 walk-off win over the Las Vegas Aviators at Southwest University Park. It was El Paso’s first win in the first three games of the series. Brooks’ home run was his team-leading fourth of the season and it was the Chihuahuas’ first walk-off win of the year.

    EL PASO, Texas - The Las Vegas Aviators beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-4 Wednesday afternoon to win for the second time in as many days at Southwest University Park. Las Vegas is now a Pacific Coast League-best 8-3 this season. The Aviators hit two home runs in the top of the third inning. One was an inside-the-park home run to left field by Drew Avans, the 12th inside-the-park home run against El Paso in Chihuahuas’ history.

    EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Former Americas High School baseball standout Darell Hernaiz returned to El Paso, Texas as professional baseball player on Tuesday night. Hernaiz and the Las Vegas Aviators are in the Sun City this week for a six-game series against the El Paso Chihuahuas. In the series opener on Tuesday at Southwest University Park, Hernaiz hit an RBI double in his first at-bat of the game. Hernaiz’s RBI double gave the Aviators a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning.

    EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Salt Lake Bees 13-2 in the finale of a season-opening three-game series Sunday. The Chihuahuas won two of the three games and outscored the Bees by 17 runs in the series. El Paso is now 82-53 all-time against Salt Lake. Chihuahuas starter Stephen Kolek pitched five shutout innings in his first game with El Paso.

    EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Chihuahuas put the tying and go-ahead runs in scoring position in the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday but lost to the Salt Lake Bees 7-6. The teams have split the first two games of the series. The Bees scored four runs in the top of the first inning before making an out, with three of the runs coming on back-to-back home runs by Niko Kavadas and J.D. Davis.
