President William Ruto has assured Former Gender CS Aisha Jumwa that he will sort her out after she was left out of the new list of Cabinet Nominees. Jumwa, who is one of the ardent supporters of President Ruto in the Coast region, did not make a comeback to the Cabinet as she was among 10 former CSs who were replaced. But speaking in Kilifi county on Friday, President William Ruto assured the former Malindi MP that she will not leave her in the cold.

President William Ruto is set to visit Kilifi county on Friday to oversee several development projects. This visit marks his first trip to the Coast region since the nationwide anti-government protests started on June 18. Ruto will begin his tour by laying a foundation stone for the Watamu modern market, a much-anticipated project expected to boost local commerce and provide a modern trading space for residents.

Residents of Gongoni, in Magarini constituency in Kilifi, have protested the deteriorating security in the area following a shooting incident on Monday night where two people were shot and injured by unknown assailants. The two victims are an M-Pesa shop owner and a motorcycle operator carrying him. They survived the attack but sustained serious injuries. James Kitsao, the M-Pesa shop operator, had closed his shop and headed home onboard a boda boda.
