The Burlington County Health Department is urging area residents to take precautions by avoiding contact with any sick or dead birds that they may encounter.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – National sewing, fabric, crafts, and notions retailer Joann fabrics announced on Wednesday that it will be closing a large swath of stores nationwide. The fabric giant is closing 533 of its approximately 800 stores around the country. At least one store will be closed in each state, except Hawaii. In addition to the Mount Laurel store, Joann is closing New Jersey stores in Lawrenceville, Deptford, Mays Landing, Succasunna, and Toms River.
