(WRBL) – A Chambers County man pled guilty Wednesday morning May 7th to multiple felony charges after prosecutors say he raped and sodomized a young girl after getting her drunk. Jesse Garner entered the plea during jury selection, withdrawing his previous not guilty plea. District Attorney Mike Segrest tells WRBL Garner admitted to first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, endangering the welfare of a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

(WRBL) – A newly obtained court document reveals Jamarlo Johnson, 41, allegedly confessed to shooting his cousin, Quintaveious Johnson, and hiding the gun after first claiming the victim shot himself. According to the document obtained Wednesday by WRBL, Jamarlo told a neighbor and police Quantaveious “was playing with the gun and shot himself,” but Jamarlo was unable to tell officers where the weapon was.
