Three years ago her husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, which has required multiple surgeries, frequent hospital visits, and many chemo treatment trips to Birmingham and Atlanta.

Daisy Bolden just retire after spending 41 years working with seniors in the River Region. She has blessed a lot of people in those years and considers them family. “She is always at weddings and baby showers of the seniors and their families. I was so touched by that because she’s showing me how much love means. That’s really my reason for nominating her. She is a bundle of love and everybody loves her,” said her nominator Sundra Courtland.

LaQuesha Hollenquest says she was taught it is better to give than receive. And that’s how she lives her life. Hollenquest is a full time caregiver to her mother and is always ready to take care of others in her community as well. “She is always doing great things. I needed to go to the doctor. I needed to go to the hospital. She be there with me. I had two back surgeries. She’s been there with me both of the times,” said her nominator Sarah Sanders.
