RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Brent Clifford in court Aug. 16 in Placer County after being arrested in Portola, on Aug. 14. He was formally charged with two counts of identity theft and one count of fraudulent use of an access card. He was booked into Placer County jail on a murder charge. He is a suspect in a missing person case of Patricia Portella-Wright and a suspect in in the shooting death of William Andrews on keystone avenue.

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Locals protested at the Capitol Building in Carson City Aug. 8 to show their concern over wild horse removal from a South Reno construction area. The Nevada Department of Agriculture Director Dr. J.J. Goicoechea says they began the process of removing the horses from a development property on Aug. 7, saying they had to do so to protect them from active construction.

We will continue to see smoke from the wildfires but hopefully the thunderstorm and wind usher in some fresh air. Then we do see a warming trend to about 98 degrees starting Thursday. Smoke from wildfires will impact the region through the weekend. Thunderstorms return by late next week and into next weekend.
