Dope Lemon brought its psychedelic indie-folk desert rock to the Fillmore Auditorium on May 29, and fans showed up and out for the show. Opening act The Palms set a relaxed tone for the evening, with a set that included a falsetto cover of Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You." But Dope Lemon amped up the energy as soon as the band stepped on the stage. While the band is known for relaxed, chill vibes across its studio albums, the songs are injected with lengthy, heavy jams when played live.

The 2025 concert season at Levitt Pavilion kicks off on Saturday, May 24, and those heading to the nonprofit venue will be among the first to see some new improvements. Levitt, which opened at Ruby Hill Park in 2017, has raised the funds to make several changes to the outdoor facility in an effort to make it more accessible for all attendees and keep the music going rain or shine.

The inaugural Hip-Hop Summit last year was a banger, taking over ABC Imaging at 77 Kalamath Street, where graffiti writers created their art outside and autographed young artists' sketchbooks. Hip-hop beats wafted out from inside the building, where DJs spun for an open-mic cypher, the Bboy Factory took over the dance floor, and photos of New York and Denver graffiti, taken by event founders Jarred De Palo and Adam Clark of Colorado Street Art, covered a makeshift gallery.
