A man was killed and a woman seriously injured south of Carey on Monday evening after the vehicle they were traveling in rolled and caught fire, ejecting them, authorities said. The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office along with Carey Fire & Rescue, Hailey Fire & Rescue and BC South Fire Protection District were dispatched to the accident near milepost 198 on U.S. 26, near the Silver Creek bridge, at about 5:32 p.m., according to BC South Chief Ron Bateman.

A Hailey woman is facing 10 years in state prison for allegedly assaulting two Hailey Police Department officers following her arrest outside a Hailey restaurant on March 1. Blaine County Prosecutor Matt Fredback charged Terry Lee Hart Capone, 77, with two felony counts of assault or battery against a police officer and a third count of misdemeanor battery on March 3.
