OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A slight risk for a spotty t-shower ends around 8PM and the rest of our Thursday night looks pleasant and dry. Skies clear overnight and Friday starts off comfortable and cool with a low of 63 for the Metro. We will warm fast to a high of 88! It'll be a hot day with highs between 85-90 for most. With humidity factored in, it will feel more like 90 by the late afternoon for the Metro... humidity will be a factor through the weekend as well.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A cool and cloudy Sunday closes with increasing rain chances. After 7PM we can't rule out a sprinkle or two, but storm chances will get going after 9PM. The severe risk keeps to W Nebraska tonight with weaker thunderstorms expected locally. Some small hail and gusty winds will be possible but should remain well below severe thresholds. They'll become more widespread after midnight with storms likely prior to sunrise Monday. The last of any lingering showers end by 10AM.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Wednesday is a 6 First Alert Weather Day as intense heat continues ahead of a severe thunderstorm threat. Storms are moving in from the W and will bring an increasing risk for damaging gusts and hail as they organize into a strong line. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place until 10PM and includes the Omaha Metro. The storms are likely just W of Omaha by 5PM and will impact Lincoln then... they will continue E and likely clear the Metro around or just after 7PM.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for parts of E Nebraska and W Iowa. The N half of the viewing area is under the watch until 7AM Wednesday, but the storm threat likely exits the area closer to 4AM. Storms may initiate at any point between 12AM and 2AM in E Nebraska and W Iowa, and would likely pop up mainly E of the Metro over W Iowa with any convection after that time. The main storm threat will be large hail but damaging wind gusts are also possible.
