Gardaí have launched a public appeal to trace the whereabouts of a teenage girl who has been missing since Monday. 17-year-old Michaela Colgan O'Connor is missing from her home in Dublin 9 since Monday 21st April 2025 Michaela is described as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Michaela was wearing a wearing a pink top, light grey jeans, pink trainers and was carrying a cream studded bag.

A man and a woman have been arrested after Revenue officers seized 11.2kgs of herbal cannabis at two separate locations in Dublin today. The drugs, which have an estimated value of €224,000, were seized as a result of joint operations conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), and DMR North Central and DMR East Divisional Drugs Units. A male, aged in his 40s, and a female, aged in her 50s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána.

The Humanitarian Assistance Scheme can provide emergency financial help if your home has been affected by a severe weather event. The scheme is activated in response to a severe weather event. It was activated on 23 January 2025 for people affected by Storm Éowyn.
