The 38-year-old died in a crash on the main Sligo to Manorhamilton Road on June 29th 2023. He was travelling towards Sligo at the time with a friend, Darren Sommers who was on another motorbike. The father of three was driving a Suzuki Motorcycle, which collided with a blue Ford Focus car travelling in the opposite direction at around 8.30pm. A toxicology report found Mr McMorrow had cocaine in his system at a level of 0.084.

Sergee Kelly (24) from Mullaghmore was jailed for five years this week after he mowed down Ronan Wilson in Bundoran, Co Donegal while travelling at 110kmh in a 50kmh zone. Ronan’s family from Kildress, Co. Tyrone said the sentence was “truly pathetic” and described Kelly as a “remorseless coward” who “partied the night away” by going on a drink and drugs binge in Bundoran after killing the boy and fleeing the scene in September 2023.

Anthony and Martin Gallagher, who were both in their 60s, were walking home after a night out in Letterkenny. The men were critically injured after being struck by a taxi being driven by a teenager at the town's Lower Main Street just before 3am. The men were rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive emergency treatment. However, Anthony Gallagher subsequently died from his injuries. A lady places a candle at the site of the tragic fatal accident where Anthony Gallagher lost his life.

Another pedestrian (60s) is in hospital with serious injuries. The incident occurred at around 3am on Lower Main Street, Letterkenny. Gardai in Co Donegal have closed a number of roads following a serious overnight collision. The single vehicle incident involved a taxi. The vehicle also collided with a local house causing some small damage. The two male pedestrians were conveyed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. However, one has since died.
