A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Mihail Trofim on April 11 after he failed to turn up to Dublin Circuit Court to be sentenced for careless driving causing serious bodily harm and driving without insurance on June 8, 2022, at the Old Navan Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin. The 27-year-old is believed to have fled to his native Moldova just one day before he was to be sentenced for causing catastrophic injuries to a man he ran over.

Pearse Daly, Ardee Street, Collon, previously pleaded guilty to one of four counts on the indictment that on February 3, 2024, at Ardee Street, Collon, he had possession of a .22 LR calibre Ruger model semi-automatic pistol. The court heard had drank 10 pints at Watters Pub in Collon before exchanging words with a group of young men. He then went home and got the illegally-held firearm which he said he previously bought off a man in a pub.

Dublin businessman James Webb, who currently runs Barróg Healthcare, said he has “nothing to hide” and that he regrets making a confidential settlement of more than €200,000 with liquidators after it was alleged he misappropriated cash while working at another care firm which provided services to vulnerable teens. That firm, Intensive Community Programmes (ICP), collapsed into liquidation, leaving creditors with a deficit of close to €1m.

Amy O’Connor, 40, of Auburn Heights, Athlone was given a suspended sentence this week after she said a dangerous criminal, who was a friend of O’Neill, held a gun to her head and forced her to store almost €67,000 worth of cannabis in her home. At Mullingar Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Keenan Johnson found that O’Connor, who also had links to the Irwin mob in Sligo, was under duress and there was no evidence that she was involved in drug trafficking.
