    SO integral in our faith walk in recalling the prophecies of God upon ourselves. We do know that on this side of the Cross the promises of God are yes and Amen in Christ, 2 Corinthians 1:20, “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” In other words, they are a done deal. The prophecies of God find expression in our lives. We’re the bodies which give expression to what God ordained before the fountain of the world.

    THERE are spiritual truths or eternal realities that we need to keep at the fore, especially at the beginning of the year. This will guarantee victorious Christian living throughout the year. We need to reassure ourselves so that we don’t go out this year shaking. At the beginning of the year, we table plans or resolutions. Naturally, there is a possibility that some of the things may not come to pass according to our expectations and timelines. That doesn’t mean God has failed us.

    HUMAN relationships are very important to our development and wellbeing. As we start a new year, we want to take a stock of how we have treated fellow beings in the past year. We will equally interrogate how we have been treated. The human ecosystem thrives when we respect each other. Treat others with human dignity. We are not naively assuming that there are no malcontents and architects of evil. As a rule of thumb, wisdom teaches us to regard others as we regard others.
