CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Some showers are still possible, but the threat for severe storms has ended for tonight. Cool temperatures and breezy conditions will take us into the weekend. A few showers or isolated storm will still be possible, the first half of Saturday. Sun and clouds and breezy west to northwest winds, with gusts 20-30+ mph at times. Chilly overnight lows into Sunday morning, with widespread 40s. Sunday is looking pleasant, but still cool with highs in the low to mid 70s.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Just a few showers or storm, mainly early tonight. Friday will turn more active and is a First Alert Weather Day for the afternoon and evening, for the risk of some severe storms. Remain Weather Aware. The time frame, between 2 PM - 9 PM as we watch for a line of storms to develop, ahead of a strong cold front. All severe hazards at play. The main threat is damaging wind gusts 60-70 mph. Some spotty large hail, as well.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A break from showers and storms is expected this evening and early tonight, but watching the potential for a cluster of severe storms expected to move out of the Ohio Valley. These storms *may* impact us, as they race eastward toward the region late tonight and into the early morning hours of Saturday. The entire Mid-Atlantic region is outlooked for severe weather. The main threats - damaging winds and some spotty large hail.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is posted until Midnight. Conditions are favorable the rest of this Thursday afternoon into tonight, for a few severe storms. While not everyone will see storms, those that do develop will likely turn severe. Main threats, damaging wind gusts, some large hail, and while not zero, low end tornado risk. Also, any locally heavy rain from storms, could trigger some additional local flooding.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - First Alert Weather Day Tuesday as widespread rain impacts region. A Flood Watch is posted through late Tuesday night. A slow-moving storm - upper level low pressure - will draw plenty of moisture off the Atlantic and Gulf, as it moves off the northeast through the mid-week. This will bring periods of widespread rain, heavy at times, along with a few storms, across the region.
