CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Temperatures still a little blow normal and not muggy as a weak weather disturbance passes by on this Tuesday. That will change by the end of the weekend and weekend. Clouds and breaks of hazy sun this afternoon. There’s only a slight chance for a few sprinkles or passing shower through about sunset. Most communities will miss out on rainfall for the rest of the work and school week. High pressure will keep the region dry through most, if not all of Friday.

If you live in flood-prone areas, it’s important that you monitor water levels frequently. If you’re driving and the road is flooded, turn around. Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways.

On the alert for dangerously hot summer weather for this weekend!Today will be day three in a row of at least 90 degrees across central Virginia. That will make it now an official heat wave.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Expect a brief break in the muggy air and highs in the 90s this Father’s Day weekend. That will change next week!A cold front has now moved south of the region today. This has allowed for a drier, less humid air mass to take hold of our weather through Sunday. The only weather hazard this weekend will be a very high sunburn index. After a northeast breeze, the wind will turn to a muggier and hotter southwesterly direction next week.
