The 60-year-old Lopez, who served six months in the U.S. House of Representatives last year after winning a special vacancy election, said in a statement that his focus is on Colorado's future. “Congress is gridlocked. We all see it. But what’s happening in Colorado? That’s personal,” Lopez said.
