After Toni Storm successfully defended the title Wednesday against Skye Blue, Riho made her return to the company after being gone for nearly six months. A tag team preview of the Wrestle Kingdom 18 main event is one of four new bouts set for NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed. Before they lock horns on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA and his Wrestle Kingdom 18 challenger Tetsuya Naito will be on opposite sides of a tag team battle at Fighting Spirit Unleashed, as SANADA & Yuya Uemura team against Naito & Hiromu Takahashi.

The Hardys will be in trios action as part of the four-match lineup announced for this week's AEW Rampage. As announced during Dynamite Title Tuesday, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, & Brother Zay will face Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, & Daniel Garcia on Friday's show in six-man tag team action. In a tag team match, Blackpool Combat Club's Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta will face Mogul Embassy's Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) on Friday's episode.

AEW has announced that Jon Moxley was not medically cleared to compete at Dynamite Title Tuesday. Company owner Tony Khan addressed Moxley's status for Dynamite during The Buy-In pre-show on YouTube, stating that while Moxley is on the road to recovery, AEW doctors would not clear him to compete as scheduled against Rey Fenix in an International Championship match. Instead, Orange Cassidy was revealed as the substitute challenger for Fenix's title.

Bryan Danielson is the new number one contender to the TNT Championship and challenging for the title on this week's AEW Collision. Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland at Dynamite Title Tuesday to become the number one contender to Christian Cage's TNT Championship. It was announced as Title Tuesday kicked off that the title match was set for this Saturday, October 14 on Collision with a special 7 p.m. Eastern start time on TNT.
