522 Fifth Ave., which RFR sold to AmazonThe tech giant has purchased 522 Fifth Ave., a 23-story, 600K SF office building on the corner of 44th Street, from RFR Realty, an Amazon spokesperson confirmed to Bisnow. The 600K SF building is entirely vacant, giving Amazon a blank canvas. A spokesperson declined to comment on the Seattle-based company's plans for the property, which was constructed in 1896.

Related Ross, the Florida-focused spinoff of Related Cos. led by the billionaire owner of the Miami Dolphins, has acquired the waterfront television studio and office building owned by The E.W. Scripps Co. for $40M.

Trammell Crow Co. is the latest developer to signal ambitions for a data center megaproject in the Peach State. The CBRE-owned development giant filed an application to build an 8.1M SF data center campus at White Oak Technology Park near Augusta. It is the second proposal in as many weeks to add a project of that size to the state's skyrocketing supply of digital infrastructure, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Embattled hotel chain LuxUrban Hotels' history of withholding rent from landlords has caught up to it, as its portfolio has shrunk to just a handful of properties. LuxUrban has relinquished Hotel 57, a 210-key hotel at 130 E. 57th St. in Manhattan. The Miami-based hotel company, which master-leases properties that were struggling during the pandemic, a year ago said it operated 18 hotels in four states. Its portfolio now stands at six properties, all in New York City.

The New York Liberty plan to develop an $80M training facility in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, the team announced Thursday. The building would abut Newtown Creek, which separates Brooklyn and Queens, and be paid for entirely by the team's ownership, led by Joe and Clara Wu Tsai.
