To paraphrase Cage the Elephant “there ain’t no rest for WABBLES,” and it would appear that will be the case as we head into the weekend talking yet another chance for accumulating snow. Here We Go Again: Friday and Friday NightWe’ve barely caught our breath from last weekend’s winter bonanza and the ensuing gelid conditions and now another snow threat is knock-knock-knocking on WABBLES’ door.

Our weekend looks rather warm throughout WABBLES, but not nearly as active as our messy midweek. Even so, though, it appears we’ll have to dodge some showers before we can enjoy the warmer air. Oh, and welcome to Meteorological Spring! We’ll have stats on how February and winter ended soon, but for our folks clamoring for warm air?

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Cloudy skies continue to take over as we await another fall front poised to move through the mountains to usher in the month of November. As the clouds increase, so will our chance for showers. Today through TomorrowI think we stay dry for much of the day today, but I can’t rule out some showers trying to scoot in as we head closer to high school football time tonight. Despite clouds today, breezy southwest gusts will bring us highs in the upper 70s to near 80° this afternoon.

(WYMT) - It has been a rather mild, yet comfortable start to the work week around these here mountains and we’ve got plenty more where that came from as we work our way through the remainder of this work week. HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - It was a nice stretch to end the work week through the mountains, but here we are again. We’re staring down some pesky showers that don’t quite want to go away as we usher in November temperatures a few weeks early. Tonight through Tomorrow NightIt doesn’t look to rain all night, but our pesky scattered showers will continue to be with us as we drop temperatures back into the lower to middle 50s overnight tonight.
