WEST YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Feb. 22 is a day that West York Borough Police will never forget after Officer Andrew Duarte was killed in the line of duty at UPMC York Hospital. Local businesses, led by York General Contracting in Dover, are donating time and materials needed for a memorial in honor of Officer Duarte. The memorial will be placed at the West York Police Station. “[It’ll] serve as a reminder that Andrew’s riding with these guys every day on their shifts,” Police Chief Matthew Millsaps said.
