Tina Butler, the Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education, local chapter president explained how far the city's celebrations have come. Branch Academy Valedictorian Class of 2025 Valedictorian Marley Bryant says that performance and presence were two of the biggest factors that lead him to a successful academic year. "Just doing good and showing up to school every day," Bryant said. That was just part of the puzzle that helped him graduate Harold T. Branch academy with a 5.2 gpa. "The gpa thing, it was just, college classes, taking weighted classes," Bryant said.
