Murder investigation launched after man found dead

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a property. North Wales Police say that they received a report from the Welsh Ambulance Service just after Tuesday, December 10, that a man had died at a property King George Street, Shotton. Officers from the force attended and a 45-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.
Woman taken to hospital after being hit by car in town centre

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a crash between a car and a pedestrian which saw a woman taken to hospital. Dyfed-Powys Police said they were called to Finch's Square, Cardigan, at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, November 27 to reports of a crash. It is reported that the crash involved a silver Ford Focus and a female pedestrian were involved. The force has said that the female pedestrian was taken to hospital where she currently remains in a stable condition.
Popular country park closes after more than 100 trees significantly damaged in storm

A historic park has been forced to close indefinitely after Storm Darragh saw over 100 trees fall. Craig-y-Nos Country Park in Bannau Brycheiniog has been closed while staff deal with the debris, saying the landscape of the site has been "significantly" altered. Storm Darragh which swept over the UK over the weekend caused chaos in Wales as gales of up to 93mph battered the country.
Police vehicle rammed by stolen car after 'high speed' chase on M4

South Wales Police have shared the state one of their vehicles was left in after it was rammed by a stolen car on false plates as part of a "high speed pursuit" along the M4. The force have not said why they were pursuing the vehicle but shared that the driver was so intent on evading police that instead of stopping as directed, he initiated a high speed pursuit along the M4, then through the village of Pendoylan and towards Barry.
Person airlifted to major trauma unit and two taken to hospital after crash

A serious crash in Gwynedd resulted in three people being taken to hospital. A person was airlifted to a major trauma centre in Liverpool as a result of the two vehicle crash on Monday, December 9. The A487 was closed for several hours as a result. North Wales Police are now appealing for witnesses following the crash between Pantglas and Bryncir, which happened at around 5:25pm.

Hairy Biker Simon King has gushed over Wales' top chef and his restaurant, saying it was "wonderful" to cook alongside him. The chef and television presenter appeared on James Martin's Saturday Morning on ITV alongside Welsh chef Gareth Ward who owns Ynyshir in Powys. Simon was clearly impressed by Gareth and said it had been a "wonderful experience watching Gareth cook" and appearing alongside him on the show.
