    Bollards painted to resemble cigarettes have been spotted on street in Wiltshire with some locals brandishing them "disgusting". Three bollards painted white and orange to replicate the look of a cigarette appeared in Hythe Road, Swindon. The "cigarette" bollards have divided neighbours, with some finding it funny and others left fuming. Others have described it is a "brilliant idea" and thanking the anonymous artist for "making the area look a bit better".

    Photographs depict a newly constructed housing estate in Cornwall, which remains uninhabited and boarded up, due to a protracted seven-year planning dispute. The "ghost" estate, comprising 33 homes, including 15 affordable properties in Calstock, received planning permission in 2018. However, the development firm subsequently claimed that delays caused by the council led to the accumulation of £1.2 million in interest payments, rendering them unable to continue the project.
