A cyclist has spent weeks travelling 1,000 miles from Spain to attend his first Glastonbury Festival. Oliver White has tackled mountains and hundreds of kilometres of coastline to arrive at Worthy Farm in time for the start of the festival that starts today, Wednesday, June 25. The 25-year-old, who was living in Madrid, has covered up to 100km each day on his first long-distance bikepacking trip crossing Spain and France.

Bollards painted to resemble cigarettes have been spotted on street in Wiltshire with some locals brandishing them "disgusting". Three bollards painted white and orange to replicate the look of a cigarette appeared in Hythe Road, Swindon. The "cigarette" bollards have divided neighbours, with some finding it funny and others left fuming. Others have described it is a "brilliant idea" and thanking the anonymous artist for "making the area look a bit better".

The "ghost" estate, comprising 33 homes, including 15 affordable properties in Calstock, received planning permission in 2018. The message appeared to have been sent from Bolton County Grammar School, which changed its name 42 years ago.
