    Pupils and staff at Larbert High School raised a whopping £7800 for Strathcarron Hospice with their recent pre-loved fashion festival. The event, which is in its second year, took place on Friday night and has been hailed a huge success by all those involved. Here, we take a look at some more photographs from the night, taken by Herald photographer Michael Gillen in our second gallery. There were some fantastic designs, created by pupils from LHS, being modelled on the catwalk.

    Significant improvements at two Falkirk district parks have been completed following investment from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Guided by local community input, the works at both Kinneil Estate in Bo’ness and Callendar Park in Falkirk have enhanced access, biodiversity and visitor facilities. The £306,000 investment has seen a range of upgrades completed.

    A Grangemouth chemicals manufacturer and agricultural life science company has been awarded £2.2 million from Scottish Enterprise towards a project to expand production at its local site. News Syngenta has been awarded the cash towards its £14.7 million project was announced on Thursday during a visit to the company by Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes, who was joined by Jane Martin, Scottish Enterprise managing director for innovation and investment.

    A preloved fashion festival organised by staff and students at Larbert High School has raised a whopping £7800 for Strathcarron Hospice. The festival saw pupils and staff collaborate with local businesses, individuals and teams to ensure they could raise as much awareness and funds for the Fankerton hospice as possible.

    Caleb James Hunter was born on October 11, 2024 at Forth Valley Royal Hospital at 5.16am, weighing 8lb 3oz. Dad Stuart Hunter, 37, and mum Jennifer Hunter, 26, are both team managers in retail. Caleb has a big brother Harris, who is six and a big sister Ellie, who is two. Both have been amazing with their new brother. The family live in Tamfourhill. Mum said she had a hematoma early in the pregnancy which she said was a bit of a scare, but apart from that the pregnancy was pretty smooth.
