COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) --- It's something no parent wants to have to experience, someone kidnapping or harming your child. A local gym owner wants to make sure that's not your reality. Lance Adams the founder of the Warrior Warehouse is hosting a free program called E.S.C.A.P.E.It's to teach kids and their parents how to recognize a threat, how to get away from it and how to fight back if needed. It takes place Tuesday April 22, 2025 at The Warrior Warehouse from 5pm-7pm.

Dr. Owens is conducting research to identify barriers to aging-in-place, and current technology use. He’s also looking at attitudes toward remote monitoring technologies among low-income African Americans with ADRD and their care partners.

It's happening this weekend all thanks to the Columbia International Festival. This year 116 countries will be represented at the South Carolina Fairgrounds. Volunteers will be showcasing their music, culture, food. There will be performing arts of the various cultures, nationalities, that are represented in South Carolina.
