Two major Seattle arts groups will now share a single historic space. The Seattle Theater Group (STG) has taken over the lease at the 5th Avenue Theatre. STG plans to use the venue for about 26 weeks a year, hosting concerts, dance performances, and comedy shows. “In this alliance, STG is the new leaseholder and has assumed overall management of The 5th Avenue Theatre venue,” the groups announced in a press release Friday morning.

King County scientists may have found a solution to help coho salmon dying from polluted stormwater. “Coho salmon dying from exposure to a toxic tire chemical just before they return to their spawning ground after their journey to the Pacific is not just a tragedy – it’s an urgent call to action,” John Taylor, Director of the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks said in a news release.
