WINTERVILLE, N.C (WNCT)- A local pizza chef from Pitt County has the best cheese slice in the entire southeast region. Alessio Passalacqua of Marabella Old World Pizza won the top spot for best slice at the International Pizza Expo is Las Vegas. Passalacqua was one in 75 competitors and got tenth place for the all-around score, but number one for all competitors in the southeastern region of the United States.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — As the weather is getting warmer in Eastern North Carolina, people are starting to see more copperhead snakes. “Copperheads are a venomous snake. They’re common in this part of North Carolina. You do see them on the greenways relatively frequently when the sun’s out, starts to warm up, especially in the spring, as the asphalt or the trail surface warms up,” Greenville Recreation and Parks, Ben Thompson said. “They’re looking to get in the sun because they are cold blooded.

In her new book, “Autism Out Loud,” Adrian Wood and her fellow co-authors share their experiences in motherhood in hopes of helping others in the same situation.
