SNOW HILL, N.C. (WNCT) — The town of Snow Hill is warning of a new scam message going around asking people to donate money for the Snow Hill Police Department. Snow Hill PD confirmed this is a scam, and that they will not contact residents asking for any type of monetary funding. Chief Josh Smith says this scam comes at a valuable time as the town is working to keep the police department’s doors open, including figuring out how they will continue to fund the department in the near future.
