Set in 2019, Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers (2024) masquerades as a tennis epic, but is steeped in sex, queer iconography, and arguably, love.

Since the release of his third studio album Nobody Is Listening (2021), ZAYN has remained mostly out of the public eye. He’s only come out of hiding twice to release standalone projects: he worked with American singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson on “To Begin Again” (2021), and then more recently in 2023 with the Pakistani trio AUR on a reimagining of their single “Tu hai kahan” (“Where are you?”), both of which heralded very little marketing.

Walking into AMC Georgetown on a sunny Monday afternoon, I was completely unprepared to be transported into the jaw dropping, mind-bending universe of Dune: Part Two. This movie shook me to my core not just emotionally, but physically too. The soundscape was so thrillingly loud that at certain points I was nervous that the speakers would combust; the bass turned my seat into a massage chair.
