FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is warning about fraudulent text messages impersonating state agencies. The messages also feature a suspicious link similar to Kentucky government website addresses. According to KYTC, the scam messages warn customers of unpaid traffic tickets and say that a “DMV violation” will be reported and “driving privileges” will be suspended if payment is not sent immediately. If you receive one of these texts, do not click the link.

The Kentucky Animal Control Advisory Board (KACAB) will award up to $1,266 to each government on a competitive basis. In March, Beshear signed legislation to create the SAFE Fund, to assist communities impacted by February’s severe storms and floods, declared as FEMA Disaster 4860.
