Mother's Day is a busy restaurant day, so Rhode Island venues are offering special events. Brunch, dinner, and special events are planned at vineyards, restaurants, and museums. Reservations are highly recommended for most, if not all, of the events. Mother's Day is Sunday, and it's one of the busiest restaurant days of the year, as many want to celebrate Mom with a lovely meal. There are many choices all around Rhode Island. You'll find brunches at restaurants, rooftops or vineyards.

Rhode Island Spirits will host a May Day celebration at their Pawtucket location on May 4, benefiting Boston Ironsides RFC, a gay rugby team. The event will feature traditional May Day festivities with a twist, including a maypole, floral cocktails, old-timey games, and rugby players in sundresses. Bertucci's, the brick-oven pizza and pasta chain, has filed for bankruptcy for the third time in seven years. The last Rhode Island Bertucci's location in Warwick closed on April 25, 2025. The chain plans to shift focus to a fast-casual concept called Bertucci's Pronto. Several other Massachusetts locations also closed, leaving 10 remaining in the state. Bertucci’s third bankruptcy in seven years has claimed the last of the chain’s Rhode Island restaurants.
