The Jackalopes flipped the script on an early 4-1 deficit in their penultimate matchup of this series with the Northern Colorado Owlz, with one swing of the bat.

(KKCO) - The 4th Annual Grand Junction High Desert Classic Competitive Baseball Tournament brought 60 teams from across state lines into Grand Junction, and the annual Friday Night All-Team BBQ gave the youth baseball teams, a little taste of the big leagues. The Tournament features teams from four different states ages 9-14, with the BBQ gathering all of the teams at The Diamond at Hamilton Ballpark at Colorado Mesa.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Pioneer League and the Grand Junction Jackalopes are set to kickoff a first-of-its-kind in-season tournament, “Home Run Derby Night in the PBL. The Tournament will span 13 weeks, and consist of 72 head-to-head matchups between individual players. Either before or after Saturday games, teams will select two players each to compete in one-on-one matchups, where the player with the most home runs in their matchup in two minutes wins.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Jackalopes seem to be bouncing back from a slow start to the 2025 season, hanging a couple of crooked number on the board in a 16-11 win over the Northern Colorado Owlz, the Jackalopes’ third consecutive victory. Things looked out of sync for the Jackalopes early on, with the very first pitch of the game out of the hands of Joe Cuomo hitting Owlz leadoff man Gianni Horvat, leading to what wound up being a four-run top of the first for the visitors.
