Syracuse, N.Y. -- Yes, weekends have been wet and gloomy in Central New York for longer than any of us care to think about. But for six months? Yep. The last time Syracuse had a completely dry weekend was the middle of November, according to climate records compiled by the New York State Weather Risk Communication Center, at the University of Albany. Syracuse, N.Y. -- After one of the rainiest starts to May on record, Syracuse can finally look forward to at least a short stretch of dry, sunny days starting on Mother’s Day. It’s rained the first nine days of this month, only the second time that’s happened in 120 years of weather recordkeeping. And there’s a chance for rain on Saturday. But then comes aptly named Sunday, when clouds should part and temperatures rise into the mid 70s.
