ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A fire that broke out at a Met-Ed substation Monday ended up leaving thousands of Adams County residents in the dark. The fire happened around 8:50 p.m. at the substation in the 600 block of Gardners Road, according to emergency dispatchers. Firefighters cleared the scene by 2:15 a.m., and no injuries were reported. Adams Electric Cooperative, Inc., posted an update to Facebook Tuesday morning noting that Met-Ed's repairs may continue through the week.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Police are investigating after a group of girls allegedly vandalized houses and cars with eggs and peanut butter, causing hundreds in dollars of damage. The Lower Allen Police Department said officers were alerted to the vandalism just before 2 a.m. in the area of Canning Way and Parade Street. A resident there had confronted the group as they were throwing eggs at their residence, police said.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Several people were hurt and at least one vehicle badly damaged after a crash Sunday in Franklin County. The two-vehicle wreck happened in the 7600 block of Lincoln Way East, according to the Fayette Volunteer Fire Department, whose crews responded to the incident. Once on scene, firefighters found that the two-vehicle crash left two people trapped inside their vehicles.

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A wreck left a car in an unusual position outside a car dealership in Lebanon. The crash happened Monday at the Frederick Chevrolet, located at 1505 Quentin Road. Neversink Fire Company crews arrived to find a vehicle in an upright position with the driver trapped inside. "Today we can say no call is ever the same," the fire company wrote in a Facebook post.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Officers are investigating a domestic-related homicide that happened overnight in West York Borough. The West York Borough Police Department said Tuesday morning it happened in the 1400 block of West Market Street. An 18-year-old man has been arrested and will be charged with criminal homicide. The public is safe at this time, police said, as officers continue to investigate in that area.
